Dear friends and appaloosa fans,

the 2nd edition of the ERAA Futurity is over. Even though the number of entries was not so remarkable (4), the event itself was a huge success.
The Futurity took place during the Italian Reining Horse Association Maturity & Prefuturity, an event where more than 500 horses met, and was of course judged by NRHA judges.
The quality shown by the 3 finalists was absolutely great (Boemil Twin Topleus - 2008 ERAA Futurity Champion - had a problem in 2nd lead change that prevented him achieving another great score), and all Q.H. breeders noticed it. Above all, we saw an increasing interest of breeders and trainers for the Appaloosa Breed. Since the beginning, the ERAA proved to be a very serious project, lead by true appaloosa fans, and the money we paid in the first 2 editions of the Futurity were absolutely REAL!!! In 2 years we distributed money and prizes for more than $ 25,000, something that had never happened in Europe before. And we will keep on spending our energies in the development of this small association that is truly making history.
Some new sponsors joined the team (OM-Reitsport from Austria and Histoire d'Or from Italy), and we are already looking forward to the 2010 edition. We need the help of all appaloosa fans to fully develop this project, but Europe's most famous trainers are already searching for reining appaloosas, and this is what we always looked for!!!

The European Reining Appaloosa Association is working on the 2009 show season. We would like to offer 2 classes at the 2009 Futurity: Open & Non-Pro. Plus, we would like to offer an Open class reserved to horses older than 5. We were very happy with the 2008 season, our first show season ever. But we must keep on improving the services offered to our members: more shows for more horses! We would also like to realize some new, exciting jackets celebrating the beauty of the appaloosa reining horse. In order to achieve these goals, we need to raise quite a considerable amount of money. That's why we gently ask the help of all reining appaloosa fans!
